Andy Schwantes, account executive
Passionate about emerging media and killer creative, Andy is a main point-of-contact for clients at the agency, as well as the digital lead.
Having graduated from The College of St. Scholastica (Duluth, MN) with a B.A. in Marketing and Management, Andy is a natural team leader and social media expert whose innovative thinking keeps everyone on their toes.
A Sports Marketing course in high school sparked his interest. A few years later he began his college career as a pre-intended marketing major and never looked back. He completed his degree, picked up a second major, and got his first real world marketing experience by managing social media properties for a local hotel while attending college. Six months out of college, Andy landed at OTA full-time and has been with the agency for almost 3 years.
From coaching pre-school soccer and t-ball teams to offering great customer experiences and growing social audiences, in each position Andy has landed he has picked up valuable skills, which he now puts to work helping grow his clients' brands. He currently works with a number of local and regional clients, providing full-service marketing services from conception to completion.
Baseball, hockey, golf, basketball, football, softball, volleyball, tennis – if there is a sport you can think of, there is a good chance he’s played it. Although he believes his best playing days are behind him, Andy still enjoys staying active and getting in a game whenever he has the chance. He also enjoys attending concerts and sporting events; as well as managing an amateur baseball team in the summer.
In my perfect world, I’m sitting on the OTA deck on a sunny summer day overlooking Lake Superior and brainstorming out-of-the-box ideas to help build our client’s brands.
